Apollo Television has built its profile around top quality drama and children’s programming.

The company’s reputation for drama has come from a number of fiction projects that include one off screen-plays as well as a popular returning teen series for Welsh channel S4C.

On the international stage Apollo’s prominence for drama was rewarded with the coveted Rose d’Or (in the ‘soap’ category) for the drama Con Passionate at the prestigious International television festival of the same name – a series about a male voice choir and their tempestuous female conductor.

Children’s television production has included off the wall comedy shows such as Hotel Eddie - featuring a bumbling zombie butler, and O Na Y Morgans – based around the antics of the comical Morgan family. The series Dawnstastig encourages kids to exercise through the power of dance, while Noc, Noc turned up to the unsuspecting homes of viewers to broadcast live from their living rooms.

An interesting specialist area of programming for Apollo is the live sports series Rasus. Featuring harness trotting racing, the show is now in its 12th year of production. Broadcast throughout the UK on S4C, this coverage has a high audience appreciation among the sport’s British fans.
