Established in 1994, Boomerang is the founding company of Boomerang+ plc. The company's national and international output includes extreme sports, drama, comedy, live events, children's programmes, web content and radio broadcasts.

Boomerang is a leading extreme sports producter. The Company is best known in the UK for its network show Freesports on 4 (Channel 4). Expert, creative and highly motivated production teams span the globe to deliver aspirational and exhilarating programmes from some of the World's most spectacular locations.

Freesports on 4 is the entity behind leading extreme sports website FSO4.com. This venture is owned and operated by the group, offering an enhanced user experience, complementing the series with weather forecasting, location searches and streamed video services.

360° Surfing is Boomerang's other world-wide, sporting TV brand. Now in its 11th season, this sports show was the company's first venture in sponsorship financed production, which now underpins much of Boomerang's extreme output. Transmitted on Sky Sports in the UK, the show is now distributed into a number of territories including Fox Sport in the USA, Globosat in Brazil and Stream in Italy.

Boomerang is also busy delivering top quality programmes in other areas. For Welsh broadcaster S4C the Company produces the flag ship show Bandit, a weekly hour long, sleek and exciting pop music strand. Boomerang is also responsible for a new ten part high-end 'appointment to view' drama series for the channel's Sunday night peak time family schedule, as well as an up-coming ten part teen drama. These are complemented by an ambitious series of one-off cutting edge drama productions.

The company also delivers the highly popular rock music series Unsigned for ITV1 in Wales, giving a platform to aspiring artists. On Channel 4 and its entertainment channel E4, Boomerang has produced left-field comedy shows featuring the anarchic talents of the Dirty Sanchez duo Pritch & Panch, the street-level comedy escapades of the Mayhem Makers, and the dubious drinking antics of British celebrities fronted by veteran comic Rowland Rivron.

Having won the keenly fought tender for S4C's daily children's continuity service, Boomerang will be broadcasting live for 3 hours a day from its studio facilities in the company's headquarters from the end of October 2007. Working with production partners from around the country, Boomerang also produces live outside broadcast multi-platform coverage from some of Wales' leading events including the Royal Welsh Agricultural Show (broadcasting over 12 hours of material per day), with similar output from Europe's largest young people's cultural event, the Urdd Eisteddfod.

Boomerang produces approximately 200 hours of radio programmes a year, supplying the two BBC National radio services in Wales, Radio Cymru and Radio Wales, along with BBC Radio Two and Four. Recent successes include the critically acclaimed Free George Davis for BBC Radio 4; Taste of Summer for BBC Radio Two and the Shân Cothi show for Radio Cymru featuring the highly praised West End performer.

Supporting all Boomerang+ plc group companies' work are integrated studio and post production facilities that include two multi-camera studio spaces; live transmission links; 12 Avid video edit stations; 2 audio dubbing studios; radio production facilities and extensive location equipment, both High and Standard Definition. Additional facility support is also provided by Mwnci post-production.
